This set of photos was taken while exploring the abandoned Letchworth Village in Rockland County, NY. Letchworth Village was known as a mental hospital that ran from the early to late 1900s. The facility was ultimately left abandoned in 1996 due to various reports of abuse, neglect, and ill treatment. The entire village originally consisted of 130 buildings and consumed thousands of acres. Today it feels like an eerie neglected ghost town, overrun by graffiti and overgrown plants. I walked in and around nearly 5 of the main buildings which consisted of run down dormitories, offices, labs, a church, and even a mortuary.  This is what I saw.
